Dr. Jethani is a graduate of Northwestern University Dental School, in Chicago, Illinois. She has just recently moved to the Bay Area from Chicago, where she was practicing dentistry at Ravenswood Hospital.

She chose the field of dentistry because she enjoys working with her hands. Dr. Jethani believes that good dentistry has an artistic quality and she strives to achieve the highest standards. In addition to treating patients, she is very interested in dental research. Last year, she was part of a research team testing a new laser to prepare human teeth for restorative treatment, which may someday provide an alternative to the dental handpiece. She also participated in an extensive literature review to determine long term effects of specific products used to restore teeth.

Her interests in dentistry have also taken her abroad. Dr. Jethani had the opportunity to pursue an externship in Bombay, India where she studied the many stages of oral cancer.
