Dorothy Gogol-Mach DDS

Dr. Gogol-Mach has enjoyed practicing dentistry for the past 25 years. A graduate of UOP School of Dentistry, she achieved her Doctorate in Dental Surgery in 1984. She has always practiced in San Francisco and, since 1986, in The Embarcadero Center.

Dr. Gogol-Mach’s desire to provide patients with the highest quality of care led to the construction of a new facility, Embarcadero Four Dental. Completed  in 1997, this state-of-the-art office is equipped with the latest in technological advancements necessary to provide excellence in dentistry and, of course, patient comfort.

Many patients ask her how she chose the field of dentistry. She has a background in jewelry making, where she enjoyed fine precision work. She also received a Baccalaureate of Science in nursing and practiced as a registered nurse for a year in the Spinal Cord Injury Unit at Good Samaritan Hospital in Phoenix, Arizona. With a gift of fine dexterity and a nurturing background dentistry came naturally, as did “Dentistry with a Woman’s Touch”.

Dr. Gogol-Mach successfully completed PAC Live Advanced Cosmetic Classes and she regularly attends seminars and classes featuring the latest in dental technology and procedures, including at The Seattle Institute of Advanced Dental Education and at The Dawson Center for Advanced Dental Study.

In 2009 she completed courses at the Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies (LVI)
Happily married, she lives in Marin County.

She is member of: San Francisco dental Society
  California Dental Association
  American Dental Association

Joan C. Johnson DDS

Dr. Johnson graduated from UOP Dental School in l982. Following her training in San Francisco, she moved to Santa Cruz California, where she enjoyed having a Preventive Family Practice. Her gentle ease with patients and emphasis on quality patient care won her the award of “Best Dentist in Santa Cruz County” in l995 and l997.

Dr. Johnson has always remained active in the California and American Dental Association. Through the years she has also volunteered for dental screenings and dental education in the local schools in Santa Cruz County. Dr. Johnson continues to learn and improve her skills through various CE courses, study clubs, and ongoing communication with her colleagues.

In l998 Dr. Johnson was fortunate enough to take some time off from her dental career to concentrate on being a full-time mom. Following a move to the Bay Area she reunited with a UOP colleague, Dr. Gogol-Mach, and was given the opportunity to join a dental practice very similar to her own practice in Santa Cruz. Dr. Johnson absolutely loves being a dentist and feels very grateful to have found such a wonderful group of women to work with.
